A native of Oklahoma, resides in Taos, New Mexico, Education at Gulf Park College for Women, Gulfport, Mississippi and the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma with a BFA-MA.
French Smith has studied and traveled in the USA and internationally.She lives and works in her Taos, New Mexico studio. Her paintings have been shown in select shows and galleries throughout the USA and China. Her work is collected by private and corporate collectors.
